Who?

Dr. Apoorv Sharma is the cofounder & President of Venture Catalysts – Asia’s first integrated incubator and has been rated No. 1 Early Stage Investor in 2017 by leading national media. He is also Board Member at TiE Mumbai and one of the founding fathers of startup ecosystem in India. He has created over dozen incubators & accelerators, incubation funds and family office funds i.e. VentureNursery, Amity Innovation Incubator, Somaiya Incubator (RIDDLE), Mata Vaishno Devi University Incubator, Indian Angel Network Incubator.

Dr. Apoorv Sharma is PhD in Incubation from Amity University, Noida and graduated in Engineering from HBTI, Kanpur and diploma in Mentor Studies of Berkley Institute of Management, University of California, USA.

Professional Accomplishments:

He was the Project Manager of the JSS Technology Incubator/JSS SEED Fund, which was the first Government-sponsored SEED Fund in India. Further,he established Amity Innovation Incubator and was responsible for developing its Amity Family Office Fund as its General Manager. Dr. Apoorv has also led the Indian Angel Network (IAN) which is India’s first and largest angel network at present, as the Vice President of its Western Region Investments and Technology Incubator. He has also been involved as the Executive Vice President of Venture Nursery, a start-up accelerator. With his enormous experience and proficiency with various fundamental start-up related concerns, his mission is to provide solutions to all early stage start-up requirements.

Most Recent Investment

His latest investment is Seed Round- Cleanse Car on Oct 9, 2019. He  invested $2M in CleanseCar, a company that provides Washing and Repair Services.Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It is funded by 15 investors. Apporva Ranjan Sharma and Mitesh Shah are the most recent investors.
