Funding Series: List of 16 Indian Startups Who Secured Funding (17 September- 22 September 2018)

Earlypad brings you a fresh edition of Funding Series of Indian Startups who secured funding in the week of 17 September -22 September 2018. Altogether there are 16 startups who could make noise in the Indian startup economy in this week. Out of these 16 startups Knocksense, DailyNinja, Togedr, Sheroes, and Xplorabox–has secured an undisclosed amount from their investors.

Qbera

Bengaluru-based Qbera is a lending platform

  • Founded Year: Dec 1, 2015
  • Founders: Aditya Kumar, Anubhav Jain
  • Funding: Qbera has secured an amount of Rs. 140 Million in venture round of funding led by E City Ventures. The startup plans to expand its team across functions, scale its business and expand its geographical reach to more parts of the country.

Knocksense

Lucknow-based Knocksense is a local discovery cum recommendation startup, which caters to the young and dynamic social media audience.

  • Founded Year: 2016
  • Founders: Neelansha Dwivedi, Varul Mayank
  • Funding: Knocksense has secured an undisclosed amount in a seed round of funding from Amitesh Pandey (Founder of VBS Infravision Private Limited). The startup plans to expand its services to Indore, Jaipur and other growing tier-II cities in India.

Parkwheels

Gurugram-based Parkwheels is an RFID technology based smart parking system.

  • Founded Year: 2015
  • Founders: Dhananjay Rathore
  • Funding: Parkwheels has secured an amount of Rs. 12 Million in a seed round of funding led by 91springboard. The startup plans to strengthen their technology and to serve their current order books with the help of raised funds.

Avenue11

Bengaluru-based Planet11 eCommerce Solutions India (Avenue11), is an O2O grocery startup that enables Kirana store owners to optimize their operations and sales by leveraging online platforms for procurement, inventory management, marketing, and sales.

  • Founded Year: Aug 2016
  • Founders: Nakkyun Chong
  • Funding: Avenue11 has secured an amount of Rs. 260 Million in the corporate round of funding from Brand Capital, the strategic investment arm of the Times Group. The startup plans to use the funds for its geographical expansion of the business and to increase its brand presence.

 DailyNinja

Bengaluru-based DailyNinja is a milk and grocery delivery startup. It is a mobile app that delivers daily needs on a subscription model.

  • Founders: Anurag Gupta, Sagar Yarnalkar
  • Funding: DailyNinja has secured an undisclosed amount in series A round of funding from Matrix Partners India. This startup plans to use its funds for strengthening DailyNinja’s market leadership in the daily essentials space, by expanding to other cities beyond Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

Togedr

Gurugram-based Togedr is an adventure and activities based experiences platform and community.

  • Founded Year: 2016
  • Funding: Togedr has secured an undisclosed amount in a venture round of funding from Anil Patel. The startup plans to use the funding for building better tech and APIs.

Livspace

Bangalore-based Livspace is an End-to-end home design and decor service, provider. The startup provides online shopping where you can design, decorate and furnish your dream home.

  • Founded Year: 2012
  • Founders: Anuj Srivastava, Ramakant Sharma, Shagufta Anurag
  • Funding: Livspace has secured an amount of $70 Million in Series C round of funding led by Goldman Sachs, TPG Growth. The funds raised will be used to expand its presence from seven cities to 13 by 2019.

CleanseCar

Bangalore-based CleanseCar is a daily car cleaning and standardized repair startup.

  • Founded Year: 2018
  • Funding: CleanseCar has secured an amount of $150K  in a seed round of funding led by Dhianu Das( an Angel Investor and Mentor). This automotive startup plans to use its fund to expand its current operations, invest further in R &D to create qualitative, environmentally friendly options to car owners across the country and expand to Chennai, Pune and Hyderabad followed by other cities in the coming months.

Cyclops MedTech

Bengaluru-based Cyclops MedTech is working on clinical and wearable diagnostic and rehab products for neuro-vestibular disorders using eye-tracking technology

  • Founded Year: Jan 29, 2015
  • Founders: Srinivas Dorasala, Niranjan Subbarao, Ravi Nayar
  • Funding: Cyclops MedTech has secured an amount of $1 Million in a seed round of funding led by Unitus Ventures. This health tech startup plans to augment its role as a leader in the neuro-vestibular diagnostic space and rapidly scale up its installations base in India and the rest of Asia.

NewsBytes

Gurugram-based NewsBytes is a digital news and media platform. It provides your everyday news in a contextual timeline to reduce information overload.

  • Founded Year: Feb 27, 2013
  • Founders: Romesh Khaddar, Sumedh Chaudhry
  • Funding: NewsBytes has secured an amount of $1 Million in a seed round of funding led by Müller Medien GmbH und Co. KG. The startup plans to use its funds to expand its technology team, support its growing footprint, establish the Hindi & other vernacular desks, and venture into video-based content.

Leena AI

Gurgaon-based Leena AI is an HRTech startup. It is smart AI-powered HR companion dedicated towards engaging employees.

  • Founders: Adit Jain, Anand Prajapati, Mayank Goyal
  • Funding: Leena AI has secured an amount of $2 Million in a seed round of funding from investors including Elad Gil, Snapdeal founders-Kunal Bahl, Rohit Bansal, Fundersclub, cathexis ventures, and others. The startup plans to use the funds for product development and international expansion.

ShareChat

Bangalore-based ShareChat is a Vernacular social networking app. It is a social networking and regional content platform for the fast-growing Internet users in India.

Sheroes

Delhi-based Sheroes is a women community platform

  • Founded Year: 2013
  • Founders: Sairee Chahal, Sairee Chahal
  • Funding: Sheroes has secured an undisclosed amount in series B round of funding from Leo Capital, and Anand Chandrasekaran (Facebook executive). With the help of raised funds, the startup plans to strengthen its vernacular reach, and build more value for its members.

DocPrime

Haryana-based DocPrime is a healthcare venture by Policybazaar Group which provides healthcare solution right at the comfort of patients’ homes.

  • Founded Year: Aug 2018
  • Funding: DocPrime has secured an amount of $50 Million in initial internal funding from its parent company Policybazaar. With the funds, the startup plans to expand its network to 150K doctors and 20,000 labs across 100+ cities.

Xplorabox

Noida based Xplorabox is an educational subscription activity box for children.

  • Founded Year: August 2015
  • Founders: Dhirendra Meena, Rishi Das Agarwal
  • Funding: Xplorabox has secured an undisclosed amount in a seed round of funding led by Metaform Ventures, Sridham Enterprises, Z Nation Lab. This edtech startup plans to expand its services, including the launch of products to cater to higher age categories, diversifying into curriculum-mapped products, and tapping the overseas markets of North America and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) with its funds.

Mate Labs

Bangalore-based Mate Labs is an AI startup which provides solutions for non-developers and businesses.

  • Founders: Kailash Ahirwar, Rahul Vishwakarma
  • Funding: Mate Labs has secured an amount of $550K in a seed round of funding from Omphalos Ventures India LLP and others.
